You are right, dont push through a " code " that you definitely have to respect, you can still push through the technique, but what you are doing have to be personal , except if you want to win a contest but this is not the aim of editing

A critic have to be about the technique and nothing else ,
Technically , your motion are great, just try to be safe with your colorimetry and dont overuse the same motion style for your typography,

But it wasn't bad, just to short and I liked the typography effects
