Write your own Symphonia [Tales of Symphonia AMV]

Info: Well this is an amv i did in one week for a local contest,i used a Tales of anime since i wanted to edit on one for a long time because it's my favorite JRPG series anyway i wanted to ask for some feedback from you guys xD.

Hey !!

So first of all your clip is awesome, the editing is good, the scene selections are not bad and the shakes are fluid. The only negative things are the maskings @1:33 and @2:33, they don't look very esthetic nor natural, you could have had some shadow and reduce the halo for the first one and the second masking is perfectible in itself. Execpt that it's a very good job

not bad!!! somethings i didn't  like: the fire transition at 1:56 should look better if you put it as mask, then at 2:10-2:11 the transition between the 2 scenes is missed none flash transition and too much others part has this problem. I liked it    at all GG!!!

Thank you xD,the first one is actually a mask done with chroma key due to lack of time and a bit of lazyness from me,i guess i will have to work more on masking for the next one then,thanks for the feedback.

Yeah now that you metion it,it would've been better as a mask xD,i didn't though about that,also at 2:10 - 2:11 i was thinking of making something for the transition but i wasn't sure what to do with it so i just left it at that,thanks for the feedback,it really helps xD.

Not bad, the raw editing is pretty good. The video in itself is a bit generic though, I'm not a fan of the association, I don't think this song fits tales that much. Also, despite the good scene selection at 1:45, I think it was very linear, nothing surprising or impactful. It's solid and well edited but it could be more memorable.

I didn't like the few effects you add, they looked out of place, manga pages and flashy texts with the saber plugin, I mean they don't fit the mood you were setting.

Good editing nethertheless, good job and keep it up!

Yeah i agree with you,i will keep that in mind for the next one,as for the song i could've chose something that would fit better but when i started the project nothing came to mind so i just chose this since i wanted to edit something on it anyway,thank you !
